28 ROOFING CANADA FALL/WINTER 2018 CRCA ANNUAL CONFERENCE & GENERAL MEETING “Everyone faces information overload these days, and with today's technology being so much different than it was in the past, being able to communicate clearly is key,” says Casey. “CRCA sends out regular updates and information to the industry members and other stakeholders, and I want to ensure these messages are received and understood by all.” The new CRCA president also looks forward to expanding his network by fostering relationships with the association’s loyal partners and sharing ideas and stories with members throughout the industry. “I have been in the industry for 27 years, so there are lots of things I can share with our people,” he says. “Still, there are things I learn every day, and I believe that if every day is not a learning day, you're not in tune with your job.” On a final note, Casey adds: “It's an honour to be the chair or president of any organization, but to be the chair of a group that represents the country as a whole is an exceptional opportunity and one I will be very proud of for a long time.” With another impactful year under its belt, CRCA is already making plans for 2019. Its 60th Annual Conference is set to take place in Montreal on April 13 to 15, 2019 at the InterContinental Montreal Hotel. It will be followed by ROOFTech, which will be held across the street at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on April 16 and 17.
