Chief Big Eagle has served in leadership roles for 16 years as Chief and on council. She has chaired the Yorkton Tribal Council Treasury Board and has vice chaired the Treaty 4 Education Alliance. She is also a board member of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and has been the Saskatchewan regional representative on the AFN Womens Council for the past several years. In addition, Chief Adrienne Jerome, of the Lac Simon First Nation in Quebec, was acclaimed as Vice-Chair of the Womens Council.
