IN BRIEF n Imperial Suites opened in new buildings in two of Canada’s hottest markets: the new Avenue West building in downtown Calgary, the company’s base city, and the Tour des Cana- diens building in the heart of Montreal, a city that represents one of the newest target markets for the company. n United Van Lines (Canada) Ltd. continued its winning streak as it took home the 2019 Canadian Business Excellence Award for Private Business for the third consecutive year. The prestigious award is handed out annually by Excellence Canada and PWC Canada to organizations demonstrating a strategic approach to improving business performance and achieving goals. n Cliff Norton joined Mary-am Suites as general manager of the company’s Toronto Corporate Housing operation. Norton has held several senior manage- ment positions in the corporate housing and serviced apartment industry in Canada, the U.K. and New Zealand. n Welcomehome Relocations received TheMIGroup’s 2017 Americas Relocation Service Partner of the Year Award. The award recognizes Welcomehome Relocations’ achievements, commitment, outstanding service delivery excellence and desire to exceed expectations. n The Executive Group of EuRA, the European Relocation Asso- ciation, surprised Air Animal founder Dr. Walter Woolf and his wife Linda with the Exceptional Partnership Award during its annual meeting in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The couple was recognized for their commitment and loyalty to each other and to the EuRA family. TransferEASE grows its business As it embraces the propelling pace of the global mobility community, TransferEASE Relocation Inc. is strengthening its operation on various fronts. Most recently, the relocation service provider added two new divisions to its organizational structure: property management and recoveries. The move is in alignment with several new hires the company made earlier this year. In keeping with its strategic plan for upward growth, TransferEASE also promoted one of its team members into a new role.
