they combined weathering steel soffit 
panels with a galvanized steel sub-
framing structure fabricated in a series 
of triangular, rectangular, trapezoidal and 
irregular modules to achieve the station’s 
unique geometry.
In total, Core Metal fabricated 7,423 
weathering steel plates and secured 
them using nearly 50,000 structural 
bolts. A network of 723 tons of Benson’s 
structural steel and COR suspension 
supports 
are 
also 
used 
extensively
