Competition 2026 
SKILLS COMPETITION
T
he next generation of HVACR professionals met 
at CMPX 2026 to test their skills and industry 
readiness at the bi-annual Skills Competition. 
The competition challenged students and industry 
newcomers to install heating and refrigeration systems with 
the goal of advancing to future competitions and gaining an 
edge in their careers.
“It’s exciting,” said Mehtab Singh, a competitor from 
George Brown College. “We have no idea what we’re going to 
be doing here. All we can do is prepare and figure it out as  
we go.”
“I’m nervous, but I think it’ll be fun,” added Carter Black, 
from Conestoga College, minutes from his turn. “It’s going to 
look great on my resume, so I’m excited for the opportunity.”

a relève du CVCR s’est retrouvée au CMPX 
2026 pour le concours semestriel. Étudiants 
et nouveaux venus devaient y installer des 
systèmes de chauffage et de réfrigération, en 
vue de se qualifier pour de futurs concours.
« C’est excitant », a déclaré Mehtab Singh, un concur-
rent du Collège George Brown. « On n’a aucune idée 
de ce qu’on va faire ici. Tout ce qu’on peut faire, c’est se 
préparer et trouver des solutions. »
« Je suis nerveux, mais je pense que ça va être 
amusant », a ajouté Carter Black, du Conestoga College. 
« Ça fera très bien sur mon CV, alors je suis ravi de  
cette opportunité. »
