CONSTRUCT CANADA Like any event of its scale, Construct Canada is at least as much about the networking and business opportunities as it is about promoting new products and services or learning about new topics and pressing issues in the industry. The City of Toronto’s Social Develop- ment, Finance and Administration department was also on hand, show- casing its Tower & Neighbourhood Revitalization Unit, which promotes the financing of energy-efficiency retrofits to high-rise rental housing. At the exhibit, Floyd Heath told Builders’ Digest that attendee interest was strong, especially from contractors. “We’ve met a lot of people and the networking has been very good,” Heath said. “We find contractors in particular are always interested in programs that will help to finance this kind of work.” Builders' Digest Quarter 4 2017 | 9
