26 l ROOFINGBC l SPRING 2019 FACES OF THE TRADE Scheduled to coincide with his release date, LePage walked away from his facility in July 2018 and landed straight in his current role with Continental Roofing, where he remains today. Having recently completed his Level Two RDW training, LePage is now that much closer to becoming a fully-ticketed roofing professional. Today, he actively participates in various roof maintenance, inspection and application projects that Continental is involved with, and he couldn’t be more pleased. Travelling across the province from Surrey to Langley, he is proud to have had a hand in multiple projects ranging from residential to institutional and government facilities. “The program really helped me grow as a person,” LePage said. “It’s a different experience up on the roof for sure, but I really like working outside and learning with every project I’m involved with.” LePage admits the biggest challenge he faces is the learning aspect since he is still new to the roofing industry. But, partnered with an experienced foreman who has over 30 years of expertise, he has gained a lot of confidence in order to be successful in his role.
