I f living in interesting times is a curse, we seem to be especially cursed these days, with rapid and unpredictable change on seemingly every front – political, economic, social, demographic, technological. Change affects different industries in different ways, but a complex industry like relocation management is probably more susceptible than most. What are some of the factors affecting the profession? The relocation industry more or less sat out the technology revolution that trans- formed so many other industries over the last couple of decades. But in the last few years, the digital tide has finally begun to transform the business.
