l’incertitude à venir. Un pilier central de cette stratégie vise à transformer 
la mobilité internationale d’une fonction transactionnelle en partenaire 
stratégique d’affaires. Pavan Parmar, de la Banque TD, dirige le groupe 
de travail chargé de ce chantier.
Un récent sondage auprès des membres corporatifs dresse un portrait 
révélateur : 50 % des professionnels qualifient leurs programmes de 
« transactionnels », contre 25 % qui les considèrent comme un « impé-
ratif stratégique ». L’horizon de deux ans laisse entrevoir un virage : 46 
% prévoient que leurs programmes deviendront un impératif stratégique, 
et 39 % un outil de gestion des talents. Nous partagerons des analyses 
approfondies et des outils pratiques sur cette transition au cours des 
prochains mois. Ces échanges occuperont une place importante lors de 
notre conférence nationale en septembre.
La planification de la conférence avance à grands pas grâce au comité 
2026, dirigé par Christina Tammaro, d’Air Canada. Les attentes sont 
élevées après le taux de satisfaction de 95 % obtenu en 2025, et l’équipe 
travaille d’arrache-pied.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As our board chair, Annie Brunelle, notes in her message, our 2026 plan 
is now in place and will guide us through the uncertain times ahead. A 
central pillar of this strategy is shifting the lens on global mobility from 
a transactional function to a strategic business partnership. Under the 
leadership of Pavan Parmar of TD Bank Group, our taskforce is advan-
cing this important work.
A recent survey of CERC corporate members revealed that 50 per cent 
of global mobility professionals view their programs as “transactional” 
today, compared with 25 per cent who see them as a “strategic busi-
ness imperative.” Looking ahead two years, they expect those numbers 
to shift dramatically: 46 per cent expect their programs to be viewed 
as a strategic business imperative, and 39 per cent as a strategic talent 
management tool. Over the coming months, we will share deeper 
insights into this transition, along with practical tools to support it.  
These discussions will feature prominently at our national conference  
in September.
Conference planning is well underway thanks to the dedication of the 
2026 Conference Planning Committee led by Christina Tammaro of 
Air Canada. Expectations are high following the 95 per cent delegate 
satisfaction rating at the 2025 conference, and the team is working hard 
to raise the bar once again.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to all our volunteers, supporters, 
sponsors and partners. Your commitment and contributions continue to 
strengthen our community and our impact. I wish you a pleasant spring 
season and look forward to seeing many of you in Fredericton
