At the Winnipeg Construction Association, we always look forward to a third season: the annual kickoff of our education classes. This year, were proud to roll out our list of course offerings so that you can start planning for the months ahead. Keep an eye out for our new 2020-21 Education Program guide in your mailbox and online at winnipegconstruction.ca/upcoming-courses.Speaking of planning, weve been busy dealing with a rather abrupt end to our education and training program last spring, when the COVID-19 pandemic changed how businesses across the world operate. As Dr. Roussin would say, the virus is not done with us yet, but weve been working hard to develop solutions to safely and effectively deliver courses this year. Many courses will be offered in the traditional in-person format with changes made to capacity, sanitation and food services (for more on this, check out page 14). If the pandemic worsens or the public health advisories change, many of our classes can be delivered via instructor-led, Zoom-style seminars. Some of our course offerings are already online, and those will continue.We continue to be encouraged by your strong attendance at our education sessions and the positive comments we receive through student course evaluations. This year, were committed to maintaining that high level of quality in instructors, our facilitys atmosphere and, yes, lunches in this new environment in which we are all working. We hope you can join us in class or online this year.
