Congratulations to the following recip-ients and all those who made a difference in this decidedly unique year. ROOFING CANADA AWARDRogers Centre (SkyDome) Re-Roofing ProjectFlynn Canada Ltd. & Dean-Chandler RoofingOIRCA members Flynn Canada Ltd. and Dean-Chandler Roofing Ltd. shared the CRCA Award spot-light for their joint efforts on the Rogers Centre re-roofing project. The teams were tasked with removing and replacing the facilitys existing Sika Sarnafil S327-48 mil membrane with a new Sarnafil S327-80 mil membrane, as well as replacing the steel fastening bars and heavy gauge steel snow diverters. Crews were also responsible for removing the vapour barrier from the bottom 10 feet of the four main roof panels, installing a new self-adhering vapour barrier and 2 polyisocyanurate insulation, and revamping the detail at the bottom of the panels. Given the 400,000-sq.-ft. scope and rigid 10-month timeline, Dean-Chandler Roofing and Flynn Canada formed a joint venture partnership to tackle the sky-high task.Timewasoftheessence,andweallunderstoodthat,notesJay Campbell, Vice President with Dean-Chandler Roofing.
