from a guy like me who is closer to the end of his career, to younger members just starting out. I feel satisfied that our group represented an excellent microcosm of the diverse makeup of our organization. We focused on three key objectives: •  To remain relevant in an environment that is rapidly evolving; •  To grow the CERC membership base and increase corporate conference attendance; and •  To grow CERC as a thought leadership organization using a self-funding model of impartial/independent research. These are the objectives that will drive our mission over the next few years, and they will be reviewed at subsequent meetings to ensure ongoing relevance. You will see the fruits of our labour over the coming months, particularly in the changed format of the CERC Conference. Yes, changed. Stay tuned for more details. Initial plans are coming into being as I write this, and it looks like we’ll have an excellent line-up that will appeal to all our members. Make sure you attend – you won’t want to miss this year’s event at Montreal’s fabulously refurbished Queen Elizabeth Hotel. On a final note, CERC membership continues to rise and our volunteer base remains strong. You can help us by encouraging your colleagues to become more involved with CERC. We are always on the lookout for talented, engaged people who want to grow their personal experience and contribute to the overall success of the organization. And finally, a very dear thank you to all our volunteers who are the lifeblood of this organization. Without you, we do not exist.
