Held December 6 in two of the MTCCs South Building Exhibit Halls, the annual event hosted 2,600 attendees for an afternoon of good eats, refreshments, industry insights and live entertainment by renowned comedian Gilson Lubin.TCAs Christmas Luncheon continues to be the biggest draw for industry practitioners who enjoy the opportunity just to come by and mingle with industry colleagues, some of whom they literally dont see all year long until our Christmas lunch, says Mollenhauer.Indeed, the Luncheon afforded guests the opportunity to shake hands with industry peers and forge new connections. Among this years attendees was former Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion, who as always outpaced everyone in the room. [Hazel] is always a welcome fixture at the luncheon, says Mollenhauer.Shes loved by the crowd, and even at 98, she hasnt lost any of her passion. She arrives at the show early and goes for a walk on the floor, and I always marvel at how nobody can keep up.Mollenhauer adds hes proud to see the TCA Luncheon growing in popularity and looks forward to carrying on the tradition for years to come: It never ceases to amaze me how well-attended it is and how much people seem to enjoy it.
