b'COMMUNITY LEADER AWARDAGF GROUP INC. The Community Leader Award recognizes individuals or companies who make a genuine difference in their community by contributing their time and resources selflessly for the betterment of local neighbourhoods. Philanthropy and community outreach have been entwined in AGF Groups DNA since the firm was first established in 1957. In 2012, this commitment led to the creation of a foundation to assist community fundraising. Over the past eight years, the AGF foundation has provided more than $2.8 million to support hundreds of organizations. Social involvement is a fundamental value for the AGF Group. Philanthropy has always been rooted in the Gendron family, who started the company, says Catherine Gendron, the companys chief culture officer. This is why we created our foundation, whose mission is to give back to the communities where the AGF Group is present in Canada, build ties among the groups employees and partners, and develop a cultureof philanthropy.AFGs community-building initiatives are led by 25 foundation ambassadors who organize fundraising events throughoutthe year. AGF divisions across Canada have collectively organized over 470 fundraising activities since the foundation was established.
