We also put together a SWAT team of counsellors who could focus on this issue and react to the directions that our corporate clients were giving us. This enabled us to respond with quickness and agility to the needs of both our clients and their assignees, which proved critical in moving individuals to where they needed to be. For example, we had one client that immediately decided to pull everybody home from Japan. We got many of them back to the U.S. and Europe, but then some assignees wanted to return to Japan because they felt it was safer there than in their home countries. So that disci-pline that we put in place early on to pull reports, establish communications, and identify everyones needs allowed us to get in front of it really early and put an approach in place for our teams around the globe. Aside from this, weve also taken steps to manage assignee stress. Those are just a couple examples of what weve done. Overall, this situation has caused us to raise our game in terms of looking around the corner on our clients behalf.OConnell: In early March, we estab-lished an internal task force focused on addressing operational issues associated with COVID-19. Since that time, weve issued multiple communiques to the assignees and transferees that we support. In these messages, weve highlighted and stressed the importance of following recommended guidelines from the World Health Organization and the CDC. Similarly, we have communicated with our suppliers and agents to ensure they are following the required protocols.
