b'FACTS & FIGURESFACTS & FIGURESAccording to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through October of 2019 are up over 15 per cent compared to the same time period last year.On the non-residential side of things, permits are up just under 30 per cent. This growth is being driven by the commercial and institutional sectors, which are up 17 per cent and an astounding 130.51 per cent respectively compared to last year. The industrial sector is down about seven per cent compared to 2018.The residential side is also tracking higher than 2018 numbers, up just under five per cent through October.
