Though gradual, the women of MWC say the industry is evolving. Its going to be a slow progression, Nadeau says. We are slowly seeing change as more women are inspired by the industry and realize that it is a fantastic career choice.And as businesses continue to recognize the opportunity that women can play in bridging the gap in employment, Urban adds. In six years, a lot has progressed for women in construction in Manitoba. It is no longer uncommon to see a woman working on a construction site, women in management roles.THE FUTURE OF MWCAs a few of the original board members finish their MWC terms, it opens doors for fresh faces and inspired advocates to take their place.The board members moving in come with new perspectives and ideas,Larabie enthuses.Lee agrees.
