The City of Torontos Corporate Real Estate Management - Project Management Office is currently developing a Net Zero Strategy in response to City Councils Climate Emergency declaration, and Pinchin Ltd., which applies the principles of sustainability to its professional work so as to maximize the impact of its designs on the community and our ecosystem. As part of its community work, in 2019 Pinchin participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, in partnership with the World Wildlife Federation.The committee is always happy to share forward-looking green-building initiatives and related member news in its social media and blog. Other ways to participate in moving green building ahead in the GTA include nominating someone for the annual Green Building Culture Award, which is presented to the TCA member firm that best demonstrates a corporate green-building culture in their day-to-day business operations.Then, of course, theres joining the Environmental Committee, which, says Willson, is an especially enjoyable way to give back to the industry and the community at large.
