For the aggregate industry, my duties includeprojectmanagementforlicenceandamendment applications, design and drafting of site plans, preparation and reviewoftechnicalstudies,consultationwithagenciesand stakeholders, and undertaking compliance assessment reports. I also work with a number of private and public sector clients on development projects, including preparing site servicing andMY JOB grading designs, servicing studies, sewage system designs, and Phase I environmental site assessments. R - O- C - K - S !Q: What is it about your job that other people wish they got to do?I think the one aspect of my job people wish they could experienceThe Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association boasts is travelling throughout Ontario to visit the wide range of projectnearly 300 member companies, employing more than sitesthatIminvolvedwith.Ivevisitednumerousaggregate7,000 people whose roles are directly related to the sites, from large scale quarry operations to pit sites that haveaggregate industry. Each of these people has a unique literally taken a single truckload out of the ground. Ive alsoand interesting story to tell about how they came to been able to observe the day-to-day challenges that operatorswork in aggregate! While we cant interview them face,andthecareandefforttheyputintomanagingtheirall, this regular feature highlights the diverse and resource and protecting the environment around them. My role has also afforded me the ability to do work for clients such asinterestingcareersavailablewithintheindustry, schools, ski resorts, hotels, commercial buildings and residentialand showcases the people who make a difference developments.
