One of the S a u g e e n O j i b w a ymost consequential and significant has been the partnership between the Saugeen Ojibway N a t i o n p u t d o w nNation (SON) and Bruce Power, a leading electricity provider t h e b u i l d i n g b l o c k sin Ontario. SON is made up of the Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation and the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, and their tradi-f o r a p o s i t i v e ,tional territory has hosted nuclear reactors since Douglas Point was first established in the 1960s. Ontario Hydro constructed c o l l a b o r a t i v eeight units in the territory in the 1970s and 80s, and Bruce Power assumed control of the site in 2001 and continues to r e l a t i o n s h i p operate the eight units there.22A CCAB PUBLICATION2021'
