I see myself contributing to the development of strategies that are needed to achieve those sustain-ability targets that are set now and in the future.BE: What role has BCBEC played in supporting your career? Did you take part in any events?JJ: Receiving the award really eased some of the financial burdens that I faced as a student at BCIT. At the time, I was working part-time as an ice skating instructor and often found it exhausting to manage my course work. The award provided me the motivation and moral support that I needed, particularly during those challenging moments. As for attending events, I participated in the Annual General Meeting and a BCBEC luncheon as a student. As someone new to the industry, I remember both these events to be extremely beneficial experiences!FALL/WINTER 2019 21'
