The Iqaluit com-munity is small at around 8,000 people, so an event like the NACCA AGM is predicted to boost the local economy at all levels. Participants will be staying in an Inuit-owned hotel, as well as renting vehicles, shopping at local stores and restaurants, and heading out on various land-based excursions. NACCAs pro-gramming will also directly support Inuit artists and entrepreneurs. Were going to have a craft market or artist market. Were bringing in enter-tainment from all three territories, says Kosmenko.
