b'MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA NEWS2023 MCAC DAY ON THE HILLOn May 9, 2023, MCAC held its annual mid-year Board Meeting and Day on the Hill in Ottawa. The associations representatives were grateful to have met with close to 40 MPs, senators, political staff and civil servants to discuss key issues such as skilled trades labour shortages, the importance of market transformation to meet net-zero goals, and the need for regulatory harmonization across jurisdictions. MCAC representatives also participated in an industry roundtable with individuals from across government to discuss the way forward on these issues. Our organizations are at the forefront of these transformations, and it is essential that government and industry collaborate to ensure that these changes are made in a way that works for all Canadians.
