b'COVID-19 COVID-19As COVID-19 begins to wind down, the FSIN and First Nations and Tribal Councils must begin a concerted effort to address these outstanding issues. The direct cause of these unfortunate issues is directly attributable to the high rates of poverty, common in most First Nations and inner cities. Addressing these issues will require cooperation from all levels of government.COVID-19 Endemic and Continued Efforts to Gather Lessons LearnedFSIN Emergency Management is working to ensure that our communities are well informed both on and off reserve. Our desire is that, as all pertinent emergency management issues unfold and new ones arise, we will be there to advocate for our entire First Nations community in Saskatchewan. FSIN Executive, staff and other FSIN shareholders, institutions and traditional Knowledge Keepers will ensure that the important lessons learned during this pandemic will be put to use in any similar events in the future. Much work is required in gathering this data, and FSIN will make every effort to ensure that First Nations own this data so that First Nations are better represented in future national or international emergency response events.
