This is a remarkable milestone and I commend the heroic work of your 550 member contractors, more than 17,000 electricians and many otherskilled professionals over the past three quarters of a century. Since 1948, you have deliveredsafe and high-quality electrical services to people and businesses across Ontario, helping our province grow and prosper.As a founding member of the Council of Ontario Construction Associations, you have led the industry on important issues, from health and safety to workers compensation, as well ascertification of electricians and licensing of contractors. Your impressive history of working with government, business and organized labour is one for us all to aspire to on our mission to make Ontario the best place to live, work and raise a family. Under the leadership of Premier Doug Ford, our government is investing more than $159 billion over the next decade to support critical infrastructure, homes, hospitals, and long-term care projects, creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs in the process.
